Thoughts on the New Release!

Hi everyone! Katherine here. Recently American Girl released some new items which I will be going over my thoughts on most of of the items of the new release.

Starting off with the Truly Me items!

Truly Me #81

I think she's cute! My only thing is though that AG made another white TM, and is retiring two DOCs (doll of color) which are my favorite (#26 and #62). American Girl is getting better at diversity but it seems like they might have taken a step backwards.

Truly Me #82

She's pretty! She does though remind me a lot of Josefina but that isn't a bad thing.

Leopard Pet Bed and Leopard Leash Set (Separate items)

This are so cute!!!

Husky Puppy

I'm so glad that AG is making more pets! I absolutely love huskies!!

 (I just wish they would bring the cats back too.)

Hedgehog House

Hedgehogs and cats are tied for my favorite animal. This is so adorable! I just wish the hedgehogs didn't look so plastic-y :(.

All Star Hockey Set

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Mia (GOTY 2008) was a hockey player, but I don't think AG had any other sets after that. This set is just so cute I love it!

American Girl Birthday Party Set

This is a fairly cute set. I am considering buying it just for the FUJIFILM Instax camera. It's so adorable!

American Girl Bowling Alley

This is so insanely cool! It works and has a concession stand plus the price is very reasonable - $150

Bonjour Fashion Tee & Market Skirt & Glittering Lights Platform Shoes

AG decided to go with more of a Paris theme which I really like! The skirt is cute.

Eiffel Tower Blouse & Noir Jumper & Sunny Sights Flats

I absolutely LOVE this outfit, the blouse, jumper, and shoes, EVERYTHING!! It's so fashionable!

Purr-fect Dots Dress

This dress is also super cute!

City of Lights Accessories

The cat is so cute ^-^. I like the watch, but on the dolls the face seems slightly too big for the doll's wrist.

 

Sunny Paris Cardigan & Parisian Plaid Skirt

It's a happy color sweater!!! Happy color sweater and shoes? Yes! I also adore that skirt.

Lovely Leopard Coat & Luxe Leggings

The coat is so cute and stylish.

City Sequin Sweater & Luxe Leggings

I like the blue of the sweater, but not a huge fan of the bow.

However, this new Mix-N-Match release from AG overall I LOVED!

AG Reverisible Wrap Skirt

I really like this skirt!

Figure Skating Outfit

This dress is pretty. What I didn't realize is AG has a current coral skating outfit, but this one is dressier. (Not a critique but I'm not sure why AG didn't release the hockey set and this outfit in their fall release closer to winter/Christmas. )

Simmering Ballet Outfit

The purple is nice. Nothing really stands out for me.

Blaire's Restaurant Accessories

I like how they are adding more things for Blaire's collection and her restaurant. I could see this set being used outside the restaurant.

Blaire's Causual Outfit

I love this outfit! The boots are SO CUTE! Not to mention the scarf that's pretty cute too. The only thing is the outfit seems more like cold weather not summer outfit...

That wraps Thoughts on the New Release! The WellieWishers and Bitty Babies got some new items, plus a couple of other TM items which I didn't go over. Overall I really liked this release especially the mix-n-match!

Meet Rilynne!

Hey, it's Rilynne! Katherine took a photo-shoot of me awhile back and is now letting me post the pictures along with some facts about me! (That way you get to know me better and get to enjoy pictures of me. :) )

My name is Rilynne Lee Thompson!

My birthday is September 21st and I am 15.

I am a native kiwi! (It's a nickname for New Zealanders.)

I absolutely LOVE being outdoors! Hiking, biking, (family biking road trips are currently the thing at the moment) ,and rugged camping (not glamping).

I like playing netball (although I'm not the best at it) and my favorite team is the Silver Ferns!

For those who do not know what netball is, it's a mix of basketball and ultimate Frisbee. The goal of the game is to get the most points by throwing a ball into a ring on a post (like basketball). It is played with two teams of seven. But unlike basketball, in netball you must stand still while you have the ball. You can only hold it for three seconds or pass it to a team mate (similar to ultimate Frisbee).

(Aren't these trees so unique and cool?!)

I also do love watching other sports like cricket, basketball, soccer, and rugby.

Succulents are my favorite type of plant; they are just so cute!

(Kansas is so different from New Zealand, but it is still really pretty! I also really like this picture!)

My favorite color is a mustard yellow, which Katherine calls her happy color. :)

My favorite snack is these New Zealand white chocolates with lemonade pop-rocks things in them. It's hard to describe them but they are soo good.

I love dogs! :)

I am an ambivert, but I lean towards the extrovert side depending on the day.

I'll read almost any type of book as long as its a good book.

I love all the seasons, but for me, it's a tie between autumn and winter. (Also, the USA seasons are completely opposite New Zealand's, so that will take some time to get used to.
