4th of July Celebrations

Hey everyone! Katherine here. Happy 4th of July to those in the USA! This year everyone wore red, white, blue so I made them take a group picture. :) 

Now A Doll's Life has an updated family photo!

I got individual pictures of each of the girls and they will say their favorite thing they did for the fourth of July! 

The dogs even dressed up! Their favorite part was probably the food that they got to eat.

Addy: My favorite part was family getting together. Thank you to all the veterans who fought so we could have freedom!

Katrina: The family and friends, no wait the food, no wait the fun games we played! Ahh, I can't choose a favorite!

Saige: Happy 4th! The fireworks by far were my favorite. THEY WERE SO COOL!

Rilynne: Happy 4th of July! So, as most of you know I'm from New Zealand. In NZ most people don't know what the 4th is since it's an American holiday! Back in my homeland it would be the start of winter so manderins are coming in season plus people are getting their winter coats out! Some people around this time also do a mid-winter Christmas since Christmas is during the summer in NZ. We also would get two weeks off from school since the second term ended. This was my first time celebrating the fourth and I would say the fireworks were my favorite! :)

Sydney: Everything was my favorite!

Anastasia: The food. So good! End of story.

Samantha: I liked dressing up!

Kailey: The games we played. By far my favorite thing!

A Spring Surprise {Part 2}

She raised her hand into a wave. "I'm Rilynne."

Sydney waved back. "Hi, I'm Sydney! What are you doing here?"

"Well," Rilynne replied, "I'm not sure how to say this, but I was told this would be my new home."

"Oh, that's great! The more the merrier," Sydney smiled at her. "So where are you from?"

"I'm from New Zealand!" Rilynne replied. "It's so weird because right now it would be fall New Zealand; not spring!" 

"That is weird!" replied Sydney. "Well, we should get you settled in and introduce you to your new sisters!"

"Over there by the hopscotch is Katrina with the brown hair, Addy with the black hair, and then Kailey next to her."

All of the girls waved and said hello to Rilynne.

Sydney then led Rilynne over to Anastasia.

"Hi! I'm Anastasia - it's very nice to meet you!"

Saige immediately welcomed Rilynne, and of course the dogs did too.

"I absolutely LOVE dogs!" exclaimed Rilynne. "Back home in New Zealand there was this Corgi puppy I used to play with."

The girls kept talking as the walked along inside.

"So if you are from New Zealand then you are called a kiwi is that right?" asked Saige.

"Correct!' replied Rilynne.

"In theory, you could be a kiwi, eating a kiwi, and watching a kiwi? Right?" Saige asked again.

Rilynne laughed. "Yes, because the word kiwi has three different meanings: a native New Zealander, a fruit, and a bird."

"That's cool!" replied Sydney.

Since the other girls wanted to help get Rilynne settled, they worked on picking up their things.

Everyone, please welcome Rilynne to A Doll's Life family!

She will hopefully make a post soon introducing herself! Be on the lookout for that.

A Spring Surprise {Part 1}

It was the first day of spring and the dolls decided to go outside and celebrate.

Saige was playing fetch with the dogs.

The dogs, of course, loved playing fetch and would race each other to see who would get the stick first. 

Anastasia was practicing her guitar.

Sydney and Samantha were having a picnic together.

Katrina was playing hopscotch along with Addy and Kailey.

They were each doing their own thing when they heard a "Hello, is this A Doll's Life house?"

Samantha and Sydney were the first ones to hear this newcomer.  

"I was told that Katherine and the dolls lived here."

There was a girl standing there. Who was she???

Decorating the Tree ~ An AG Photo-Story

It was nearing Christmas and the dolls had not yet decorated their tree. Saige decided to change that. She told everybody to get their Christmas dresses on because they were going to do something fun. 

She looked for and found the box of ornaments and put them on a chair.

Then she put out a plate of cookies and milk in case anybody was hungry while they were decorating.

Finally, she put on some classic Christmas songs and then they all started decorating.

Sydney hung the stockings.

"I can't believe it's taken us so long to decorate!" exclaimed Katrina.

"I know!" replied Saige. "We've all just been very busy."

Kailey was in charge of putting the lights on the tree.

"Ta-da!" shouted Kailey. "The lights are done!"

"Good job Kailey!" Anastasia said.

Since the lights were now on the tree, Saige handed out the ornaments. They all took turns hanging the ornaments one at a time.

Kailey hung up her ornament on the tree.

Addy hung her ornament. Then Samantha hung her's.

Once the ornaments were hung, it was time to put the star on top of the tree.

Saige dragged the chair over to the tree so she could put the star on.

"Anastasia could you hand me the star?" Saige asked.

"Of course Saige," replied Anastasia.

Anastasia handed Saige the star.

Standing on her tiptoes Saige could just reach the top of the tree and she put the star on top.

The tree was now decorated.

"It's beautiful!"
