Hey guys! This is Saige, and Katrina and Samantha surprised me for my birthday! I thought they totally forgot about it. Here is how they surprised me!
(Told in my point of view.)
One day Samantha told me that I needed to see something outside.
"What?" I asked. "What do I need to see?"
"Um," Samantha wasn't sure how to answer. "Um, oh! A leaf!"
"A leaf?" I asked.
Samantha threw her hands up. "Yes! A leaf!"
Samantha put her hand on my shoulder. "Yes, just please just go look at the leaf over there."
I looked at Samantha. "Where is this leaf?"
Samantha laughed. "Straight ahead."
I looked straight ahead, and then again. Was I believing my eyes?
"Happy birthday Saige!" cried Katrina.
"What? How?" I stumbled around for the right words.
Katrina smiled, "Elizabeth let us borrow Penny for your birthday!"
Katrina walked Penny over to Samantha and I.
I still didn't believe this. Because I didn't have a horse of my own, I was looking to take riding lessons. Now, here I could ride Penny!
All three of us girls came over to pet Penny.
I had to change my shoes.
Samantha let me borrow the boots she was wearing.
Samantha laughed. "Nice look Saige!"
Samantha and I hopped up on the step, and Katrina brought Penny over to us.
Samantha stood back and watched.
After a lot of sliding, kicking Katrina's hands, and falling forward, I was on the horse!
I was also very nervous!
Katrina went to stand by Samantha.
I was off and on my own.
"Yes Saige!"
"You can do this Saige!" Katrina yelled.
I rode away for a little ride.
I was still a little nervous.
But then I was in Mimi's parade riding Picasso!
"Wo ho!" I shouted. "Look at me!"
After riding around for a bit I got off Penny.
I hugged Penny and whispered, "Best birthday present ever!"
